News from Anneke Beerton s website. She will be off intense frames next year and onto Trek and MILKA Chocolate Mmmm.

Anneke says..

Over the past few months a lot has happened. After 10 years of racing gravity (downhill & 4-cross) I feel like it is time for a change. The change I feel like I need to make is BIG, but I like a serious challenge.
I have decided next to racing the 4-cross worldcup to also start competing in some cross-country events.

I know and realize this sounds ambitious and maybe even a little crazy, but I am convinced I can make this happen. Realizing that a drastic careerswitch like this doesn't go overnight, I will keep my racefocus on 4-cross the upcoming 2011 season, but obviously I will change my trainingfocus to preparing my body for the challenge I have set for myself. I will mix racing 4-cross with racing cross-country in 2011, and will try to add a few more 4-cross world cup podium finishes to my resume before completely focusing on cross country from 2012 onwards.

So to sign with the Trek Brentjens MTB team powered by Milka, is just the perfect match. I am really looking forward to be a part of the Bart Brentjens team, with all his experience as a racer I am sure I can benefit from that.

To have Trek as a bike sponsor is just amazing as well. A company that is so well known and big in the bike industry. It is just an honour to ride their bikes. And which girl does not want to have Milka as a sponsor!! Keep an eye out on the track for lilac colored helmet that is shredding up and down the track next season!

Off course a big thanks to all my sponsors that keep continue to work with me as well. And a big welcome to all the new sponsors. I am looking forward to work with all you next season.

You may remember Bart Brentjens he was on the big Saracen team of thye 90s with Steve Peat, Rob Warner and Kerry Bason and later won tyhe firts Olympic mountainbike Gold medal in Atlanta.

So Anneke has chosen a good mentor for her cross country career.

There will still be plenty of this though.
