Olympic BMX champion and mountainbike legend Anne Caroline Chausson is back where she came to prominence Sunn Bikes.

Official press release

We could talk for hours about the great champion she is : 19 world champion titles (12 in DH, 4 in dual slalom, 3 in BMX), 6 of those were won on a Sunn bike, and 55 UCI wins (world record). In August 2008, she became the first BMX gold medalist in history at the Beijing Olympics. Lately she has been chasing victories in enduro races and long distance downhill with a noticeable win at the legendary Megavalanche in Alpe d’Huez in 2009.

More than a competition contract, it is a true long term partnership we wished to set up together. Indeed, Anne-Caro will be an ambassadress of the brand Sunn.

She will still have sporting objectives for the seasons to come, she will be competing in some enduro races and long distance downhill and she will be on our sides on the Sunn stands for all the main mountain bike shows of the season (Roc d’Azur, new bike ranges presentation, Mondial du VTT...), you will then have the possibility to meet her and even ride with her during the testing sessions.

Other great news, Anne-Caro becomes our ambassadress for BMX...

Yes you guessed right, it is the comeback of BMX at Sunn. Our engineers have been working on some stuff for the last couple of months and we expect to benefit the most out of Anne-Caroline’s experience to better develop and set up our future range of racing specific BMXs Sunn/ACC. We could hardly dream of a better test pilot !

Sunn will equip Anne-Caro’s mountain bike school in Vars (Southern French Alps) through which she offers training camps open to everyone at summer time. You will be able to enjoy the riding advices of the champion while riding the latest Sunn bikes.

On joining Sunn, a few words from Anne-Caro: “I’m really happy with the confidence Sunn is giving to me and to become an ambassadress for such a prestigious brand. Sunn was the first company to believe in me when I started mountain biking about fifteen years ago. The brand brought a lot to me and today with this “comeback to my roots” I wish to bring all my mountain bike and bmx experience to Sunn. And thus live a new, happy and long adventure…”

Those of you that dont know the Sunn Bikes.
pedegree they were started by Max Commencal as a BMX brand that had one of the best teams ever in BMX with riders like AAC, Christophe Leveque, Dylan Clayton and Stephen and Martin Murray in the UK.

They went on to dominate downhill with ACC Cedric Gracia and Nicolas Voilloz.
Although Commencal has left it is good to see them back and with ACC input we should see something good
