Stompin Stu

The first BMX mag i owned was bpught for me by my Grandad on a trip the day before he died. So two of the of the most life changing things in my life happened in 24 hours. In that edition of BMX Action was an add for a Redline PL20 as ridden by Stu Thompson.
As a 24 year old kid thid mammoth of a man with blond hair and tash scared the hell out of me. I did eventualy own a chrome PL20 Carrera. To me Stu Thompson turned BMX from kids on bikes into a professional respectable sport that we could all aspire to. As a PE teacher whos sport was BMX this was important to me and 25 years later with olympics BMX is finaly recognised. Without Stu thompson and others like Greg Hill and Tim march in the Uk this would never have happened. Every body should watch this film. Modern BMXers and 4X racers alike need to see their roots and learn form Stompin Stu.
