You would think by now coming into my third season of racing that I would of learnt how to prepare my self for a race, and I haven't. Saturday night I decided to go out for a few quite ales with some friends which ended up being a full blown session. As fun as it was I have to say that I was starting to regret it Sunday morning, and to make matters worse I was borrowing a bike I had never ridden before.

Thanks to Mick Ridgeway for picking me up Sunday morning but as soon as I was in his car I was sound asleep, but at least the journey didn't take as long, well for me anyway. we arrived at Rowney Warren in good time which was a good thing really because I then had to start assembling bits on the bike. I would like to thank Will Evans, now of Moorewood, for lending me his bike that he had already sold to some one else. So of I rode doing my best to get used to this alien bike and considering my hangover I did well not to crash. the only thing was I wasn't going any where near fast enough to stand any chance of a semi.

So racing started and my first moto I got a good snap but never really got up to speed but managed to hold every one of to the end. My second moto I got another good snap and led to the second to last corner and my day kinda got worse from here, as one rider past me followed by the second rider then into the last corner the last rider past me to. So I managed to go from first to last in less than 10 seconds. brilliant. my third and fourth motos saw me take 2 thirds and their fore I missed out on a run of by 1 point.
Now here come the excuses. 1- I had an hours sleep and raced with a hangover.
2- I was on a borrowed bike.
3- You cant beat a good old green Scott.
4- I rode like a tit.
But on the plus side I did learn a lot. 1- don't get hammered the night before
2- don't go back to another girls house, cos you don't get much sleep and the run home in the morning nearly killed me.
3- don't leave you bike near a car cos mine got run over, hence why I was on a borrowed bike.

But I was pleased to see James Goodwin of dialled bikes make the move from junior to senior and take the win on his first attempt. Also well done to Lee white for moving from senior to elite, he didn't win but still good fun to watch.
Well after the racing had finished I stuck around and borrowed Lee's bike while he rode his bmx. That was another highlight to my day watching Lee White jump straight of his MTB on to his bmx and start bulling double bar spins and 360 to 360 with bar spin. after another hour of riding we made the journey back. Cant really report on the journey back because I slept all the way back to with a big bit of dribble. Im starting to think Mick will never give me a lift again.
Well I guess I will see you guys ay Bridgenorth for the next round and also the national champs, and in the mean time im going to get my bike soughted out.
