Getting yourself a Nikon D50 and shooting people on bikes is all good and well, but actually knowing what you're doing is another thing all together.
In fact, anyone who knows how to shoot dirt, indoor, from far away, is a genius.
I gave it a go this weekend, firstly with BMX dirt, and to start with I tried a 250th shutter with TTL flash tactic...
These were the best two.
Frustrated with not being able to get enough of the sort of shot I was after, I re-adopted my old faithful super-long-shutter-hit-and-hope-fill-in-flash technique, which personally I kind of like...
But it does get a bit tedious.
Anyway, the dirt was nice. Could have done with twice as many riders, better music, a few more jumps and some sticker throw-outs, you know, for kids, but it did the job.
Tips on shooting dirt indoors are very welcome. Ta.
