Practice Start Gate

Rich Holroyd is student and 4x rider that attends the college that I lecture at. This lunch time he texted me and asked if I would like to try his Design Tech project.

A practice start gate. So Bert, a local BMX racer and I went and had a go.

Its his first atempt and and needs a little refinement, but works really well.

You engage the mechanism and when you pull to snap the gate releases. No fancy electronics to go wrong just pressure from your front wheel.

Its ideal for practicing the snap motion and sprint from the gate. Once you have that dialled you can practice the timing of the call at your local track.

Ive told Rich that I want one for my drive.
