Cornish Success At BMX British Champs.

Congratulations to all the Cornwall BMX Club riders who travelled up to the the BMX British Champs at Harworth in Yorkshire.

coming 6th and 7th in junior men.

Sean Herman in his second season racing

continued his steady rise in 13 boys coming a close 5th in the semi, running wide on a berm whilst holding the elusive 4th spot for half the track. Next year should be big for Sean.

Dad Dave Herman is so involved, he chairs the south west region and is secretary of Cornwall club, in his spare time he makes practice start gates. Good day for Dave, he made the final 12 months after breaking his ribs at Cheddar and finished 6th in 40+ cruiser.

Eldest son Matt enjoyed his weekend as usual reminding us what racing is really all about,

Other good results from Cornwall came from
Bert (I thnk his real name is Martin Jay)who came 8th in the final.
Sam Coleman continued his unlucky year getting moted and ridiculously talented Luke Tamlyn

had a fall in the semi.

Another key man at Cornwall is Chairman Andy Green. He puts the hours in transporting his children and lobbying for Cornwalls new track. The weekend is one for the family album.

Martin Green came 7th in the final. Sister Charlotte capped off a superlative season. She dropped only 2 moto points all year to win the national series. This weekend Charlotte made it a full house being crowned 01 British Champion.

Greenmachines Ben Clarkson is cool stylin it on 20

and skinny cruiser.

Cornwall BMX club is thriving, last weekend saw the Cornish Champs presentation after a season of over 70 riders racing on Friday nights. A great night of celebration organised and fund raised by the efforts of Nikki and Kelly from Audiosport.

This weekend demonstrated that the Cornish can travel and compete at the top level.
Next year with the new air ram gate, winter training starting 8th October and hopefully a new track things should go from strength to strength.
